Richard Quin and Mary Graham Quin
Richard was born March 27 1780 in the Carolinas. He married Mary Ann Graham (born in 1792) in 1810. They had 12 children but only 5 made it to 50 years of age. He had a handsome home on large plantation in Fernwood, MS that was called "Hardscrapple". They probably grew cotton and food staples. He was also a Pike County Civil officer, serving as a Justice of the Peace. The area became known as Quin Station because Richard allowed the railroad to cut through part of his land. Several family members are buried here.
