Dr. Oliver Benton Quin & Sophia Weston Clark
Oliver Benton Quin, born in 1857 was a truly amazing man. He followed in his father, Daniel's footsteps and studied medicine at Tulane. He married Sophia Weston Clark in 1880. They had four children. Margaret Hudson (Madge) was the oldest. The twins were born on January 24, 1883! Mary Bickham and Ella Rebecca (our relative and my Great Grandmother!) They also had a son named Oliver Benton Jr. Above Photo^Shows the First National Bank of McComb that O.B. helped found in 1904.

More on handsome, Oliver Benton! He stopped practicing medicine after 25 years, but he did not stop there! He was a founder and V.P. of the 1st Nat'l bank (Picture above) as we mentioned but he was also elected Mayor of McComb many times over! He was called the "father" of the local public schools in McComb for the work he did expanding public schools and adding to curriculum. What a guy! Here is a paper Marian A. Houk (his Great Granddaughter) wrote about his life!
Here is more genealogy on Sophia Western Clark Quin. Her 4 times Great Grandfather, Joshua Sanders fought in the Revolutionary War!
